ACCOMMODATION TERMS & CONDITIONS
TAAFFES CASTLE ACT ONLY AS A BOOKING AGENT ON BEHALF OF YOU THE CUSTOMER. ANY BOOKINGS MADE BY YOU ON THE WEBSITE, BY EMAIL OR BY PHONE SHALL BE DEEMED AN OFFER BY YOU TO PURCHASE THE SERVICES OFFERED BY VARIOUS SUPPLIERS.
BOOKINGS CAN BE MADE OVER THE PHONE USING A CREDIT / DEBIT CARD. IF YOU MAKE A BOOKING OVER THE PHONE, THIS AUTOMATICALLY AGRESS YOU TO OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS. THE GROUP LEADER (IE THE PERSON MAKING THE BOOKING) IS HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE WHOLE GROUP AND THEIR ACTIONS. IT IS THE GROUP LEADER’S JOB TO COLLECT ALL MONIES FROM THE REST OF THE GROUP. THE GROUP LEADER MUST MAKE THE WHOLE GROUP AWARE OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS THAT THE GROUP MUST ABIDE BY. ALL MEMBERS OF THE GROUP MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE.
IT IS THE EVENT ORGANISER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE ITINERARY TO ENSURE ALL ELEMENTS OF THE PACKAGE ARE CORRECT. ANY ERROR ON THE ITINERARY NOT BROUGHT TO OUR ATTENTIONS WITHIN 48 HOURS OF BOOKING IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO AMEND THE BOOKING AFTER 48 HOURS.
ALL PRICES AND PACKAGES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE DEPENDING ON AVAILABILITY FOR THE WEEKEND AND ANY DECREASE IN GROUP SIZE.
TAAFFES CASTLE RECOMMENDS THAT ALL GROUPS TAKE OUT APPROPRIATE TRAVEL INSURANCE WHICH WILL COVER THEM IN THE EVENT OF PERSONAL ACCIDENTS, MEDICAL EXPENSES, EMERGENCY EVACUATION, LOSS OF MONIES AND THE PARTICIPATION IN DANGEROUS SPORTS.
THE GROUP ORGANISER’S PAYMENT FOR A PACKAGE WILL ACT AS A DEPOSIT FOR THE WHOLE GROUP.
DUE TO THE HIGH VOLUME OF CUSTOMERS TAAFFES CASTLE HAS, WE CANNOT TAKE INDIVIDUAL PAYMENTS FROM MEMBERS OF THE GROUP. ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE ONLINE THROUGH OR ONLINE PAYMENT SYSTEM.
PAYMENT METHODS AND DEPOSITS
ALL PROPERTIES REQUIRE A DEPOSIT OF €400. THE INDIVIDUAL WHO MAKES THE BOOKING AND PAYS THE DEPOSIT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ENTIRE BOOKING, PROVIDING EXACT FINAL NUMBERS AND ENSURING FULL PAYMENT IS MADE. WE ARE REQUIRED TO DEAL WITH ONE PERSON PER GROUP, THE PERSON WHO MADE THE BOOKING, OR ANOTHER NOMINATED BY THE ORGANISER, WHEN DEALING WITH ANY ISSUES OR COMPLAINTS.
1. PAYMENT FOR ALL ACCOMMODATION AND ACTIVITIES MUST BE MADE IN FULL 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. THIS PAYMENT CAN BE MADE OVER THE PHONE WITH CREDIT / DEBIT CARD

ACCOMMODATION
TAAFFES CASTLE ARE A BOOKING AGENT AND NOT THE PROPERTY OWNERS.
WITHIN OFFICE HOURS WE WILL DO OUR UPMOST TO UPHOLD OUR RESPONSIBILITY WITH THE CUSTOMER TO ENSURE COMMUNICATION IS MADE WITH THE LANDLORD OF THE PROPERTY OR AN ASSIGNED CARETAKER OF THE PROPERTY.
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE LANDLORD TO PROVIDE US WITH CORRECT INFORMATION REGARDING EACH PROPERTY, E.G. LAYOUT, FACILITIES & AVAILIBILITY.
HEATING, HOT WATER AND MAINTENANCE FALLS WITH THE LANDLORD.
TAAFFES CASTLE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY CHANGES THAT HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE PROPERTY THAT WE ARE NOT AWARE OF.
OUTSIDE OFFICE HOURS, TAAFFES CASTLE CAN BE EMAILED REGARDING ANY PROPERTY ISSUES.
PROPERTIES MUST BE SECURED, WINDOWS & DOORS TO BE KEPT CLOSED / LOCKED WHEN THE PROPERTY IS UNATTENDED
APPLIANCES IN THE PROPERTY CANNOT BE GUARANTEED IN THE EVENT OF A BREAKDOWN DURING THE STAY. WE WILL DO OUR UPMOST TO PROVIDE A REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS SOON AS REPORTED TO US.
PLEASE REPORT ANY DAMAGE OR BREAKAGES THAT MAY HAVE OCCURRED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
IT IS THE ORGANISERS DUTY TO INSPECT THE PROPERTY ON ARRIVAL TO ENSURE EVERYTHING IS IN WORKING ORDER AND THERE ARE NO OTHER ISSUES. IF THERE ARE ANY ISSUES WITH THE PROPERTY, INSTRUCTIONS WILL BE ON THE INSTRUCTIONS SHEET YOU WILL HAVE BEEN GIVEN ON CHECK IN.
ROOM TYPES ARE TYPICALLY DORM STYLE, BUNK BEDS OR SINGLE BEDS. WE TRY TO KEEP AS MANY OF THE GROUP TOGETHER AND AS CLOSE TO EACH OTHER AS POSSIBLE.
IF YOU HAVE SPECIFIC ROOM TYPE REQUESTS PLEASE ENSURE WE ARE NOTIFIED AT THE TIME OF THE BOOKING AS WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE YOUR REQUEST AT A LATER STAGE.
ACTIVITY
IN ORDER TO SECURE AN ACTIVITY, A DEPOSIT FOR A MINIMUM NUMBER IN YOUR GROUP (USUALLY 10 PEOPLE) MUST ME MADE WHEN BOOKING. A DEPOSIT MUST BE MADE WHEN BOOKING OR AT LEAST 4 WEEKS PRIOR TO ACTIVITY.
FULL AND FINAL NUMBERS ALONG WITH PAYMENT ARE REQUIRED 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL.
TAAFFES CASTLE IS A BOOKING AGENT AND ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY UNFORSEEN WEATHER CONDITIONS.
SHOULD WEATHER CONDITIONS AFFECT AN ACTIVITY, IT IS UP TO THE ACTIVITY PROVIDER TO SUGGEST AN ALTERNATIVE DATE OR PROVIDE A REFUND.
SHOULD ANY ISSUE OCCUR ON THE SIDE OF THE ACTIVITY PROVIDER THAT MAY RESULT IN THE ACTIVITY BEING CANCELLED, FAILURE TO PROVIDE CORRECT ACTIVITY, POOR SERVICE ETC. IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF AND LIES SOLELY WITH THE ACTIVITY PROVIDER
BEHAVIOUR
YOU ARE EXPECTED TO RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER PEOPLE AROUND YOU DURING YOUR PACKAGE STAY. WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE, WITHOUT NOTICE, YOUR ACCOMMODATION OR ACTIVITY UNDER THREAT OF VANDALISM, VIOLENCE OR ANY OTHER BEHAVIOUR DEEMED INAPPROPRIATE. IN SUCH CASES WHERE EITHER THE ACCOMMODATION OR ACTIVITY IS TERMINATED, YOU WILL NOT BE ENTITLED TO A REFUND OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER. WE ACCEPT NO LIABILITY FOR ANY ACCIDENT OR MISADVENTURE THAT OCCURS WHILE ANY OF THE GROUP IS UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRINK OR DRUGS.
ALL GROUP ARE EXPECTED TO BEHAVE THEMSELVES AT ALL TIMES AND NOT TO ACT INAPPROPRIATELY TO ANY MEMBERS OF THE ACTIVITY, SUPPLIERS, OTHER GROUPS OR MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC.
TAAFFES CASTLE HAVE THE POWER TO ASK ANY OF GROUP TO LEAVE ACCOMMODATION WITHOUT ANY REFUND TO THE GROUP.
IF YOU OR ANY MEMBER OF THE GROUP DECIDE NOT TO TAKE OUT ANY TRAVEL INSURANCE, YOU HEREBY AGREE TO INDEMNIFY US AGAINST ANY CLAIM OF LOSS OR INJURY, AND YOU AND YOUR GROUP MEMBERS PARTICIPATE ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
IN NO EVENT WILL TAAFFES CASTLE, TAAFFESCASTLE.COM, ITS AFFILLIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE TO ANY PERSON FOR:
INDIRECT, INCEDENTAL, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD TAAFFES CASTLE AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS OR SUPPLIERS HARMLESS FROM AND AGAINST ANY LIABILITIES, LOSSES, DAMAGES OR COSTS, INCLUDING REASONABLE SOLICITOR FEES INCURRED IN CONNECTION WITH OR ARISING FROM ANY THIRD PARTY ALLEGATIONS, CLAIMS, ACTIONS, DISPUTES OR DEMANDS ASSERTED AGAINST ANY OF THEM AS A RESULT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR CONSENT, YOUR USE OF THE WEBSITE OR SERVICES OR ANY WILLFUL MISCONDUCT ON YOUR PART.
THE FORMATION, INTERPRETATION AND PERFORMANCE OF THIS AGREEMENT AND ANY DISPUTES ARISING OUT OF IT SHALL BE GOVERNED BY THE PROCEDURAL LAWS OF LOUTH, IRELAND WITHOUT REGARD TO ITS RULES ON CONFLICTS OR CHOICE OF LAW AND THE LAWS OF IRELAND. THE JURISDICTION AND VENUE FOR ACTIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT MATTER HEREOF SHALL BE THE DISTRICT AND HIGH COURTS LOCATED IN IRELAND, AND YOU HEREBY SUBMIT TO THE PERSONAL JURISDICTION OF SUCH COURTS. YOU HEREBY WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL IN ANY PROCEEDINGS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THIS AGREEMENT.
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MODIFY THIS AGREEMENT OR ITS POLICIES RELATING TO THE WEBSITE OR SERVICES AT ANY TIME, EFFECTIVE UPON POSTING OF AN UPDATED VERSION OF THIS AGREEMENT ON THE WEBSITE. IF AND WHEN WE UPDATE, WE WILL POST A NOTIFICATION ON THE MAIN PAGE OF THE WEBSITE.
CONTINUED USE OF THE WEBSITE AFTER ANY CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE SHALL CONSTITUTE YOUR CONSENT TO SAME.
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT AND AGREE TO ALL ITS TERMS AND CONDITIONS. BY USING THE WEBSITE OR ITS SERVICES YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THIS AGREEMENT. ANY ABUSIVE OR AGGRESSIVE COMPLAINTS WILL NOT BE DEALT WITH BY TAAFFES CASTLE
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE ORGANISING A PARTY. ANY PERSON THAT IS AGGRESSIVE OR RUDE TO OUR STAFF WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ORGANISER MAKING THE BOOKING TO CONTACT EACH AND EVERY PARTY MEMBER IN YOUR GROUP TO INFORM THEM OF T’s AND C’s. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES DO WE ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS.
